Google Camera for the Asus ZenFone 6 (6Z)

Stable GCam for the Asus Zenfone 6 (6z), one of the best phones of 2019 when it comes to the camera. The flip camera module hosts a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and a ultrawide 13MP camera, allowing for good quality pictures and video recording.

While the quality from the stock camera app is already good, Google Camera is able to take it to another level. Some improvements and features:

Better HDR processing, with more details and better dynamic range;
Night sight for low light and Astrophotography mode for long exposures;
Time lapse, motion photos, photosphere, etc;

Download Google Camera:

Newer versions usually work better on the latest OS update. If unsure on which one to use, simply use the first one listed below.

The Google Photos app is recommended for GCam 7.3 and above. There’s no need to login or even use it, GCam just works better when GPhotos is the default gallery app.

Google Camera 8 (Stable, Android 10+) »

From Wichaya, the best modder for Asus devices. Install the first .apk file:

Google Camera 7.3 (Stable, Android 9+) »

GCam 7 works better on Android 10, but is also compatible with Android 9. The main benefit of GCam 7.3+ over GCam 7.2 are the improvements in video recording.

To avoid issues when viewing photos from inside GCam, install the Google Photos app (no need to login).

7.3 by Wichaya:

Based on a version from Urnyx05, but optimised for this phone.

GCam 7 is the best option for Android 10, but the following versions also work on Android 9.

Google Camera 6.2 (Stable, Android 9+) »

GCam 6 is the previous major Google Camera version. It works better on Android 9, but a version for Android 10 is also available.
